Three MENA wind deals in 60 days bundle sites, technologies and supply chains into single awards

Egypt's 4,750 MW Tahya Misr protocol, Oman's 2.7 GW O-Green contract and Sany's Egypt factory each package several pieces at once.

MENA wind procurement just bundled itself.

Three of the big wind-related deals signed in MENA over the past 60 days share one feature: each one packages multiple sites, multiple technologies, or manufacturing and generation into a single deal.

Egypt’s Tahya Misr 4,750 MW wind protocol signed May 4 covers four wind belt sites (Gulf of Suez, Ras Shokeir, Galala, Zafarana), with Tahya Misr leading financing and implementation and a two-year delivery window.

Oman’s O-Green Energy 2.7 GW round-the-clock contract, announced May 18, bundles wind, solar, and battery storage across Mahout and Duqm into one PPA.

China’s Sany $300M Egypt factory deal announced this week packages turbine manufacturing with a planned 1 GW Gulf of Suez wind project.

My read: each deal is built to lock in more than one piece of the value chain at once, and each prices the platform rather than the project.

The implication I draw for developers: winning in MENA in 2026 means winning a position inside a multi-year pipeline.

Which MENA market signs the first single-signature deal that bundles wind, solar, storage, transmission, AND manufacturing?
